“Will it work with my Roku?” is the question we get most. The honest answer depends on two things: your Roku model, and how you're mirroring. Here's everything in one place.

Built-in mirroring per Roku's support documentation, checked October 2026. “With our app” assumes the Roku runs current Roku software and can add channels.

First, find your Roku model

The model number tells you exactly what you have. It takes ten seconds:

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote
  2. Go to Settings › System › AboutThe Model line shows a name and a four-digit number, like Roku Express 3930X or Roku Ultra 4850X.
  3. Match it in the table belowIgnore the letter at the end (X, R, RW…) — it only marks the region or bundle.

While you're in Settings, check whether you have SettingsSystemScreen mirroring. If that menu is there, your Roku has built-in mirroring.

Roku TV brands

A Roku TV has Roku built in, so it behaves just like a Roku player. In the US, Roku TVs are sold by TCL, Hisense, onn. (Walmart), Sharp, Philips, Westinghouse, JVC, Pioneer and Proscan, plus Roku's own Select, Plus and Pro Series. Outside the US you'll also find brands like Metz, Logik and Polaroid in the UK, and AOC, Philco and Semp in Brazil. Older sets from Element, Insignia, RCA, Hitachi and Sanyo may also run Roku.

Mirroring works the same on all of them. See how to screen mirror to a Roku TV for brand-specific tips.

Frequently asked questions

Do all Roku devices support screen mirroring?

Almost all of Roku's built-in mirroring does, with two exceptions Roku lists: the Express 3700 and Express+ 3710. With an app that uses a Roku channel instead of built-in mirroring, every Roku TV and every current Roku player can show your Android screen, including those two.

Does Roku Express support screen mirroring?

Most Express models do (3960, 3930, 3900, and the Express+ 3931 and 3910 over HDMI). The Express 3700 and Express+ 3710 don't have built-in mirroring, but they can still mirror an Android phone through our app's Roku channel.

Does Roku Streaming Stick 4K support screen mirroring?

Yes. The Streaming Stick 4K (3820) and 4K+ (3821) support Roku's built-in mirroring and work with our app. Mirroring runs at up to 1080p and your TV upscales it.

Do Roku TVs support screen mirroring?

Yes. Roku TVs from TCL, Hisense, onn., Sharp, Philips, Westinghouse, JVC, Pioneer and Roku itself support screen mirroring from Android phones.

Does Roku support iPhone screen mirroring?

Many Roku devices support Apple AirPlay, which mirrors an iPhone, iPad or Mac. Look for Settings › Apple AirPlay and HomeKit on your Roku. Android phones use Miracast or an app instead.
